Geography
 
In Keystage 3 Geography, Year 7 study Our Own Environment, A World Full of People and Natural Hazards.  Year 8 learn about Living in Italy, Rivers and Living in Brazil.  To complete their Keystage 3 programme, students in Year 9 study The Countryside, Global Issues and Development.
 GCSE students follow the WJEC Averley Hill, Syllabus B which covers 4 sections: Climate, the Environment and People, People and Place, People Work and Development and finally Water, Landforms and People.
 
History
 
Students begin their Keystage 3 course of study by looking at Medieval Realms, followed by The Tudors. In Year 8 Students study The English Civil War, The French Revolution and The Industrial Revolution.  In the last year of Keystage 3 students look at The Twentieth Century, particularly The First World War, Hitler's Rise to Power and the Second World War.
 
In Year 10 students follow OCR's School History Project.  They study Medicine through Time, The American West, a Local Study based on Coalbrookdale and a Modern World Study looking at the Arab Israeli Conflict
